Cornell Organ Project

From 2003-'05 I was honored to build the case for an incredible baroque organ housed at Cornell University's Anabel Taylor Hall as part of a collaboration spearheaded by Dr. Annette Richards. The organ was designed by organ master Munetaka Yokota of the Göteborg Organ Art Institute (GOArt) in Sweden based on traditional organs designed and built by the influential German organ builder Arp Schnitger. The mechanics and wooden pipes were constructed by Parsons Organ Co of Canandaigua, NY and various other pieces were contracted out to a number of other artists and artisans from around the world. This project was an incredible opportunity for me to learn, collaborate, and build an entirely new application for my craft.
